Open-area smoke imaging detection
Open area Smoke Imaging Detection (OSID) is designed for large, open spaces – airports, train stations, stadiums and shopping centres, etc. applications that pose unique challenges to reliable fire detection.
- Open-area Smoke Imaging Detection (OSID) provides projected beam smoke detection technology. By using advanced dual wavelength projected beams and optical imaging technology for early warning smoke detection, OSID provides a low-cost, reliable and easy-to install solution that overcomes typical beam detection issues such as false alarm incidents and alignment difficulties.
Advanced smoke image detection for large, open spaces
Open area Smoke Imaging Detection (OSID) is designed for large, open spaces – airports, train stations, stadiums and shopping centres, etc. applications that pose unique challenges to reliable fire detection. By using UV and IR wavelengths for smoke detection image processing, the system is able to distinguish between particle sizes, and provide repeatable absolute smoke obscuration values while rejecting the presence of dust particles or solid intruding objects. With a range of up to 150m (OSI-10 only) and easy alignment, OSID is ideal for use in a wide range of applications.
Features
- Maximum detection range of 150 m (492 ft.) for the OSI-10
- High false-alarm immunity
- Easy alignment with large adjustment and viewing angles
- Tolerant of alignment drift
- Dual wavelength LED-based smoke detection
- Status LEDs for fire, trouble and power
- Dust and intrusive solid-object rejection
- No need for precise alignment
- Automatic commissioning in under 10 minutes
- Simple and easy maintenance
Benefits
TAILORED SOLUTIONS
An extensive range of detectors lets you choose the right device for your application needs.
INDUSTRY-LEADING TECHNOLOGY
The OSID range delivers fast installation and superior detection performance that cannot be achieved using a single photo receiver.
FEWER FALSE ALARMS
Helps prevent nuisance or false alarms associated with building movement, dust or beam interruption.
